The future of HR and the Ulrich model

A fascinating discussion was led by Martin Clubb and Sue Carruthers on what the Ulrich model is all about, its original intentions and how it has subsequently been implemented in different organisations.

Lively debate ensued with views from both those who were working as HR professionals within organisations who had implemented Ulrich and freelance members who experienced it from a client/consultant point of view.

We identified a range of different interpretations, pros and cons. We also explored where the structure of HR might be headed in the future and its implications for us as trainers and developers.
